HUMAN GESTURE OF CHINESE COMMUNITY IN NIS

After the initiative of businessmen from Chinese community living in Nis and with the support of Palilula Municipality, the Association of Chinese – Serbian Friendship called `Chinese Wall` and the Association of Chinese businessmen of South Serbia organized the reception and awarding quiz for the children without parental care – children living in ` Dusko Radovic` institution in Nis. On this occasion, the children ages from 10 -18 with their professors first visited big Chinese market center `Novi vek` (near Railway station in Nis). After the visit, the guests of the reception participated in the awarding quiz about Chinese tradition and culture. The hosts provided valuable gifts and made this meeting even more interesting for the children.

In the name of the hosts – representatives of Chinese association in Nis and Association of Chinese – Serbian friendship and Chinese businessmen, all the present guests and visitors welcomed Gua Siao. He mentioned good cooperation with City of Nis organs of self government and especially Palilula Municipality. `In China we have many children without parental care` – emphasized Siao. `We understand the problem and the need for bigger support of the community for this young population. Since we are living and working in your city, we feel the obligation to help these children, at least in symbolical way, and participate in many other humanitarian activities`.

Vesna Jovanovic Jankovic, general secretary of Palilula Municipality and Zorica Stoiljkovic, member of Palilula Council with their associates from Palilula Municipality were present during this humanitarian action and interesting event.

Good time and socializing continued in Chinese Restaurant where traditional Chinese cuisine specialties were promoted during the lunch organized for the children of `Dusko Radovic`.
